After a nervy 1-1 draw between Palermo and Sampdoria on the penultimate day of the championship, we are no closer to knowing which team will finish 4th in Serie A.
Prestige and money are at stake, and lots of it! Sampdoria remain 2 points ahead of Palermo who, at least on paper, have the easiest final match, away to already-relegated Atalanta. Sampdoria, meanwhile, have home advantage but against a tricky Napoli team, who, can beat anyone on their day.
Palermo need to win… but so do Sampdoria, who have an inferior goal difference. Should they draw, and Palermo win, both team would finish on 65 points, but the rosanero would make the great step to the Champions League qualifiers.
